Waldo is celebrating his 25th birthday! To celebrate Waldo's birthday Bartleby's Books is planning a Where's Waldo scavenger hunt though Wilmington's businesses. Shop local and find Waldo wherever you go! Prizes, activities and more throughout the month of July. Starting on the Wilmington Village Stroll on June 30 and finishing up with Waldo(s) marching in the Blueberry Parade in Dover in early August. Come celebrate 25 years of searching for Waldo!
On exhibit this month at Bartleby’s Books on Main Street in Wilmington are landscapes of Southern Vermont in acrylic by Mary Procter and Bill Matuszeski. A husband/wife team, Mary and Bill split their time between Washington DC and Whitingham, where they have a home on Lake Clara. They have participated in juried shows and won prizes throughout the DC area, and participate each year in Vermont Open Studio days. This is their first show in Wilmington. Paintings include the Whitingham General Store, Mt. Haystack, and the view to the east from Upper Dover Road. Summer hours at Bartleby’s are 10-8 daily.
